As many of you may already know Otto and Heidi have moved into new premises in the Peasholme Green area of York (handy bus stop right outside!!). the new premises are light, airy and spacious (although they do seem to be rapidly running out of space at the moment with the new Christmas stock arriving daily). they new sell Italian tomatoes, fruits and vegetables in addition to their usual range of cheese, cold meats etc. Also available is fresh pasta.

Otto has expanded his menu and now offers a daily fresh pasta and home made soup. On some days particularly weekends, there is also a "special" special, often slow roast pork or lamb.

Otto and Heidi are going to host the Slow Food Festival Dinner on Tuesday 2 December at 7.00 for 7.30pm The cost will be £40 for members and £45 for non members.

The menu is as follows:

Canapes and chilled prosecco on arrival

Ottos home made winter terrine served with warm home made bread and his special relish.

Risotto with porcini and toma cheese "Porchetta" (slow cooked, rolled pork) with herbs, served with potatoes and vegetables

A selection of Heidi's superb Italian cheeses

Caramelised pears in red wine and spices served with bitter chocolate tart

Coffee and petit fours

Buonissimo!

The price includes wines as chosen by Otto and Heidi.
